Understand the difference between single origin, blended, flavoured and decaffeinated Arabica coffees.

Whether you’re just embarking on your coffee journey or are already connoisseur, it helps to familiarise yourself with the four types of freshly roasted Arabica beans in Bacha Coffee’s library. Comprising over 200 coffees, the library is an excellent starting point to discover the world’s best coffee harvests.

Single Origin Coffee

  • What is it? Coffee sourced from a single farm or estate. It is often lightly roasted to retain its natural flavour.
  • Why you should try it: Single origin coffee is celebrated by coffee purists as it depicts the unique characteristics of the area where it was grown.
  • General taste profile: Diverse, depending on the coffee’s variety, processing and preparation methods. It may range from acidic to crisp and robust.
  • Best way to enjoy it: Black coffee, hot or iced

Fine Blended Coffee

  • What is it? A combination of two to four single origin coffees. It may also include a mix of different types of Arabica coffee.
  • Why you should try it: Blends are created by Bacha coffee masters to offer distinctive flavours that highlight the best qualities of coffees of different origins.
  • General taste profile: More rounded and smoother.
  • Best way to enjoy it: With a dash of ground vanilla beans.

Fine Flavoured Coffee

  • What is it? 100% Arabica base flavoured using oils and extracts to create new savours in your cup.
  • Why you should try it: It is perfect for coffee lovers who are looking for greater variety. Bacha Coffee’s fine flavoured selection stands out because they are infused with oils and extracts to create new savours.
  • General taste profile: Fragrant with hints of variety of fruit, nut, spice, chocolate or sugar flavours. Examples include orange, strawberry, hazelnut, vanilla, milk chocolate, caramel and maple.
  • Best way to enjoy it: Serve with vanilla Chantilly cream.

Naturally CO2 Decaffeinated Coffee

  • What is it? Also known as decaf, it is coffee containing only traces of caffeine. Caffeine is a natural stimulant that helps you to stay alert and prevent fatigue. No coffee contains absolutely no caffeine.
  • Why you should try it: This is a great alternative for people who love coffee without the extra caffeine buzz. Our decaffeinated coffees undergo a natural CO2 decaffeination process without the use of chemicals. It removes almost 99 percent of caffeine in the coffee.
  • General taste profile: Rich, bold, and robust but without the caffeine kick.
  • Best way to enjoy it: With ice cream as an affogato dessert.
