Found at altitudes of 1,400 to 2,100 metres in the southwestern region of Kaffa — where it is thought coffee was first discovered — these coffee plants grow in the depths of wild forests, almost without any human intervention. The forest coffee is processed as naturally as possible, with the cherries sun-dried. This rare and exquisite harvest produces a strong, spicy cup rounded off by moderate acidity and rich notes of cracked cocoa. A marvellous speciality.
