La Reforma Coffee

Nestled into the fertile slopes of the Santa Ana volcano, the award winning 36-hectare estate established in 1892 by Rafael Alvarez Lalinde has remained in the family ever since. Featuring 100 percent red Bourbon coffee plants, the estate is filled with native shade trees, which help improve and conserve the soil and provide habitat for birds. The excellent growing conditions and the farm’s commitment to developing sustainable practices result in exceptional coffee cherries, which are handpicked only when fully ripe. Processed in the estate’s own wet mill, sundried on patios and stored in their purpose-built facility, every aspect of production is overseen by the family, ensuring consistent attention to detail at every stage.
