Situated 1,500 to 1,700 metres above sea level, the Umuco W’ikawa cooperative overlooks the majestic Lake Tanganyika, the second-oldest freshwater lake in the world. The cooperative is equipped with its own washing station – one of the key factors that distinguish this delicious coffee from other harvests in the country. Lush, with volcanic soil, this farm produces a bright, spicy, fully washed coffee that delivers a cup with notes reminiscent of mandarin orange and pineapple.
